Full-time
Monday – Friday, Occasional weekends
£120 – £200 day rate + travel and mileage
Dependent on experience
Location: Southwest, ability to travel nationwide

Ecogen Energy is seeking skilled and motivated Solar PV installers in Bristol and Southampton. The solar PV installer will be responsible for installing solar panels on commercial and residential properties in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in solar PV installation, (electrical or mechanical installation), be comfortable working at heights, and have a strong commitment to safety.
Key responsibilities
- Install solar panels on roofs and other structures using power tools and equipment
- Work with team members to plan and organise the installation process
- Follow safety regulations and procedures at all times
- Ensure that solar panels are installed in accordance with industry standards and design engineer specifications
- Troubleshoot and solve problems related to the installation process
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Actively support and uphold our commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace
- Encourage an environment free from racism, misogyny, discrimination, and bias
Requirements
- Previous experience in electrical or mechanical installation
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- An understanding of health and safety on-site and the ability to work in line with our company Risk Assessment and Method Statement
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials (20kg)
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
- Ability to travel when required
- Great work ethic and positive attitude
Preferred qualifications
- Valid CSCS Card
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
